Tía Juana la del Pipa

Gypsy cantaora and bailaora, is one of the pure races of artists in the world of the best art of flamenco singing and dance, known by the artistic name of JUANA LA DEL PIPA, born in Jerez de la Frontera ( Cádiz) in 1948, the youngest of the daughters of Tía Juana la del Pipa, an innate and self-taught singer and dancer, is one of the greatest representatives of the cante de Jerez. His most pure and genuine style has been appreciated in countries such as France and the United States. Juana la del Pipa, Dolores Agujeta and Tomasa la Macanita, three of the most representative voices of traditional Jerez singing, have joined the album Mujeres. Juana Pains Tomasa Together they star in a memorable round of tonás in this recording without cuts and without additives, more direct and more real, which took place at the La Bodega de Jerez Studios. Juana (who in this album sings bulerías for soleá, bulerías, tonás, tientos and fandangos) is the youngest of the daughters of Tía Juana la del Pipa, cantaora and bailaora, and also has family ties with the Terremoto de Jerez.
