José del Tomate

José Fernández “José del Tomate” born in Almería comes from an artists family. His father, Tomatito, and his great grandfather, Miguel Fernández Cortés “El Tomate”, nickname inherited from his grand father befor him. They were major artistic inspiration. He quotes as influence to Sabicas and Paco de Lucía, but mostly his musical influence come from his aunt “el Niño Miguel”. “All my life I was into the flamenco World and surrounded by guitars at home”. He is only 19 years old an he was performed in several places like International Festival of Cante de las Minas, Suma Flamenca at Madrid or el International Festival of Music y Dance of Granada and has perform with his father all over the world, Nueva York, Miami, Puerto Rico, Boston or Washington. Next june presents his first record “Plaza Vieja”.
